Section 4 ? Executive Summary
The simplest way to write the executive summary is to copy the highpoints from each of the other plan sections.
Below is a list of items to include. (You can copy and paste this into your business plan document and then revise for your business).
- Name, location and owners of the business
- Brief sentence or bullet list of offerings
- Description of target customers
- Summary of annual sales revenues for the first three to five years
Copy and paste funding table into Section 6 and then describe specific plan to obtain the funding shown.
Using the outline above, your executive summary should be no more than one and a half to two pages. If you can fit it on one page, that is event better!
NOTE: The above outline does mean you will be repeating yourself in later sections. That is normal – executive summaries inherently repeat information provided later on.
