The final part of your Marketing and Sales Plan might require listing specific sales steps you will perform to complete a sales. For example, if doing industrial sales might have to:
- Call potential customers - setup appointment
- Send email confirming appointment
- Perform sales call
- Follow-up with additional information
- Send sample
- Call for order
This type of step-by-step sales process will give readers more confidence that you have thought of how you will close sales. This applies to retail stores as well, but would be basic customer service steps like 'greet customer at door', 'ask what they are shopping for', offering to help, etc.
